To capture these images I only traveled as far as my own backyard. The picture of the phone was taken while it was sitting on a bedside table, and the rest were taken outside. The picture of the shed has to be my favorite. The grain of the wood adds interest to the photo and I placed some fake white flowers in the box below the window for contrast. I took the photo from a fairly close distance to eliminate distractions such as houses and power lines from the shot. The photo was taken from straight on to capture the the parallel and perpendicular lines of the door and window. The photograph is horizontal, and I did consider the rule of thirds in the horizontal aspect. The bottom of the flower box to the bottom of the picture is one third, from there to the crosshairs of the window is another, and from there to the top is the last third. However the picture is not technically correct vertically. The door kind of splits the picture down the middle. I believe the composition of this picture leads the viewers eye through the picture.
